Collaborative Research Methodology Video Presentation
Future and Form CHASE researchers Sasha Bergstrom-Katz and Wes Brown presented a collaborative paper as a video poster at the CHASE Encounters conference that expounds upon their research, takes into account their different backgrounds in creative writing and publishing and contemporary art.
Their research on the project looks at how collaboration with creative technologies changes the role of the author, how these new mediums might facilitate changes in perceptions of the literary, and how digital forms might foster greater inclusivity. In this presentation, they give an outline of their research methodologies, which will utilise audience engagement feedback, observation of the creation process, and theoretical texts to unpack and discuss the final creative outputs made collaboratively by the writers and digital partners.
Sasha Bergstrom-Katz is an artist and second-year PhD candidate at Birkbeck, University of London in Psychosocial Studies. She holds a three-year MFA in Art from the University of California, Irvine and exhibits internationally in arts and theatre spaces.
Wes Brown was awarded a CHASE scholarship to research Narrative Non-Fiction. He teaches creative writing at the University of East London and is writing an autobiographical novel about pro wrestling.
