The prize
Judges from the British Archive of Contemporary Writing will select a top prize winner, who will receive £50 to spend on books at iconic Norwich department store Jarrold (voucher can also be spent remotely online). Runners-up receive £25
Judging criteria
Rather than polished work, the judges are looking for entries that show:
· a thoughtful response to the creative writing prompts
· a willingness to embrace the experience of developing characters and engaging in creative decisions from the sparks of an idea
· a relationship to the audio-visual elements of the experience and/or the setting suggested in the story
How it works
Complete the experience as many times as you like here https://wheredostoriescomefrom.net (recommended for 16+).
It works best using a laptop or desktop with a Google Chrome Web browser and a pair of headphones but can work with tablets and mobiles, too. See below for further details on technology requirements, or email future.of.writing@uea.ac.uk for assistance.
After you click submit, a confirmation email arrives containing your writing and a digital artwork. You can also choose to display it in an online gallery:
